Hi, my name is Louise Callan and I am the Home School Community Liaison Teacher in Bracken ETNS. My office is on the left as you come in the front door and my number is 087- 2673416. Please feel free to call in for a chat.
My job is to help support parents and children in our school. I organise classes and courses for parents during the school year. I try to find opportunities for parents to get involved in the school community and in the classes. I want to create a positive relationship between the home and school.
This year there will be lots of fun activities going on and I would love if parents could get involved. We will have Maths for Fun and Reading for Fun in classes. Baking with Classes is also very popular and will continue this year. I hope to start Science for Fun after the Winter Holidays too.
Classes and Courses coming soon for Parents……

Parental Involvement in Classes
So far this year we have had parents in doing Maths in Senior Infants, 4th class and 6th class. Junior Infants did Reading for Fun with the help of their parents and Baking for Fun got underway in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes.
The 5th classes are taking part in the One Book One Community Project in term 2. They will be reading the book ‘Wonder’ by R.J. Palacio. We have lots of exciting things planned!
